What does wheel alignment do?

Wheel alignment deals with the tracking of the vehicle.  Alignment refers to the adjusting of the wheels angular position to reduce tire wear and to keep the vehicle tracking in a straight line. These adjustments ensure that vehicle travels in a straight line and that it does not pull to the left or to the right.  If for some reason if the alignment of the wheels goes beyond the manufactures specifications then replacement parts to the suspension may be required.

Other things that work together with proper wheel alignment:

• Wheel balancing
• Wheel wear
• Springs & shock absorbers

An increasing number of modern vehicles have advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and traction control. These systems can be affected by mechanical alignment adjustments. This has led many manufacturers to require electronic resets for these systems, after a mechanical alignment is performed, ensure the wheel aligner you are considering to allow you to meet these safety requirements.

What we do:

We look a the entire suspension of the car and if the suspension is within the manufacturer’s specifications then we will use our computer alignment equipment to bring the vehicle back to specification.
